I started Dollardement just a few months back,with the intent of giving all the money knowledge i have, to others who might need it. My Co-author is a man who has worked for banks long before i was even born. He wishes to remain anonymous,but is the backbone of my blog.Twenty minutes with him will be more enlightening than the entire banking section of the Britannica.
I can tell you that i’ve learnt so much about making money,but unfortunately more about losing it.The outcome is -each time i lost money in a new endeavor i realized the value of it.Sure many of you who read my blog will never try and start a pizza chain, selling half priced pizzas across the street from the neighborhood dominated “Domino’s” (and fail at it ) or try and start a recycled grocery brown bag business from your basement, but what you might do is make a wrong decision on your personal savings and spending.I always harp on the fact that making mistakes is the best way to learn,but choosing a wrong money card,insurance or mortgage plan could be a long drawn costly mistake.
Our motto on Dollardement is “millions for the masses”. I believe that everyone has the awesome ability to earn more,spend smart and live less.Yes, you heard that right- live less.I dont mean live a frugal pathetic existence that is worthless and wasted.I want you to BORROW less.Period.Stop living off someone else’s money, and get that noose off your neck that you will carry for the next 25 years.
There are many money blogs and personal finance blogs out there.I humbly admit, many of them are extremely more indepth and the articles well researched.In contrast,most of the posts here are written after personal experience in my own and my friends financial lives.They are first hand stories,as it happened to me.Take advantage of that,and learn through my errors in judgement.
